Hello, my name is Zuzanna and I am Kamień.

It all started when I was a kid, probably. I spent my time painting in drawing pads and doodling on the backs of my school notebooks, long before I took art history classes and architectural drawing workshops in high school..
After years of indulging in millions of other hobbies I eventually picked up some leftover acrylic wall paint and pigments from my sister’s apartment renovation in Shanghai. I used them to create decorations for the walls, painting on big cheap canvases.
To be honest, some of it — or rather, most of it — seemed awful to me at first….
But I still loved it, just as I loved the painting process itself — painful as it was at times. I enjoyed experimenting, figuring things out on my own, exploring new mediums, and, of course, breaking the rules along the way. Because hey, why not?

The painting of a woman in a red dress is actually what brought me to where I am today with my art. If you’re wondering why, perhaps we can chat about it sometime.
